If you’re still set on parting ways with us though and want to cancel your plan, you can uninstall directly from the Aftersell app or from your Shopify Admin. Aftersell does not provide a “pause plan” option, meaning uninstalling the app is the only way to stop recurring charges.

Uninstalling from the Aftersell app

You can uninstall Aftersell directly from the Plan & Billing page inside the app:
  1. In Aftersell, navigate to Settings > Plan & Billing.
  2. Scroll to the Uninstall Aftersell card and click Uninstall Aftersell.
  3. A modal will open. Select the reason(s) that best describe why you’re leaving.
  4. Answer any follow-up questions that appear based on your selection.
  5. Optionally, add any additional comments in the Something else field.
  6. Review the Final invoice banner, which shows any pending usage charges.
  7. Click Uninstall to confirm. This cancels your subscription and removes the app from your store.

Uninstalling from Shopify Admin

You can also uninstall Aftersell directly from your Shopify Admin:
  1. Open your Shopify Admin dashboard.
  2. Navigate to Settings > Apps and Sales Channels.
  3. Locate Aftersell in the list of apps.
  4. Click the three dots () next to the app name.
  5. Select Uninstall App from the dropdown menu.
You can also use this link to go directly to your apps list. Rest assured that Aftersell doesn’t leave any code behind on your store when uninstalled. When you uninstall Aftersell, your settings, data, and configurations are retained and will be intact, should you decide to reinstall. When reinstalling the app, all of your previous settings and configurations will remain intact, ensuring you can pick up where you left off without losing any critical data.

Reinstalling the Aftersell App

To reinstall the Aftersell app:
  1. Navigate to the Shopify App Store.
  2. Search for Aftersell in the search bar.
  3. Select the app from the results, and click Add App to reinstall it to your Shopify store.
Reinstalling the app ensures all previous settings and configurations are restored, creating a seamless continuation of your store’s operations.

Tips for Managing Data Retention

  • Plan Ahead: Uninstalling and reinstalling within the retention window minimizes disruption.
  • Confirm Details: Since data retention varies from 3 months to 1 year, contact Aftersell support for specific information.
  • Optimize Restoration: While most of your data will be restored, ensuring a backup of key configurations can help mitigate unforeseen issues.
  • Reinstall Smoothly: Use the Shopify App Store to seamlessly reinstall the app and ensure all settings are restored automatically.
