Which pricing applies to you?
Which Aftersell features are on your plan?→ Post-purchase funnels only → You will see one Aftersell usage charge per month, sized by your store’s order volume. See the Post-purchase pricing section below.→ Checkout only (Shopify Plus only) → You will see one $99 flat monthly charge while the plan is active.→ Both Post-purchase funnels and Checkout (Shopify Plus only) → Both pricing sections apply to you. You may see two separate Aftersell line items on your Shopify invoice each month, one per feature.
How Aftersell billing works
Aftersell submits charges to Shopify monthly through Shopify’s usage charge API. Two things worth knowing about how Aftersell charges in practice:- Each feature on your plan has its own 30-day cycle. Post-purchase and Checkout are billed independently. Each charges once every 30 days from when it first became billable on your plan.
- The charge fires as long as the feature is on your plan. Disabling individual widgets or settings inside the Aftersell admin does not stop the monthly charge. The charge stops only when you uninstall Aftersell or switch to a plan that does not include the feature.
Free trial
Every new install gets a 30-day free trial per feature on your Aftersell plan. No charges occur during the trial. The free trial is per feature, not per app. If you signed up for Post-purchase funnels only at install and add Checkout later, Checkout starts its own fresh 30-day trial from the day it is added to your plan. Your Post-purchase trial status is not affected. The two features can be in different trial states at the same time. If you previously uninstalled Aftersell and are reinstalling, your free trial eligibility is determined automatically based on your account history at the time of reinstall. If you have questions about your specific trial status, contact the Aftersell support team.Post-purchase pricing
Aftersell’s Post-purchase pricing is based on your total store orders each month. This means that your bill may increase or decrease based on your order volume each month.Store orders refers to the total number of orders placed on your Shopify store in the last 30 days. This includes every order on your store.

Checkout pricing (Shopify Plus only)
Aftersell’s Checkout functionality is billed at a flat $99 per month. The charge fires once every 30 days while you have an Aftersell plan that includes Checkout. There is no order-volume scaling for Checkout, it is a flat monthly rate. The charge stops only if you switch to a plan that does not include Checkout, or if you uninstall Aftersell. When do charges begin after installation?
Charges begin immediately after your 30-day free trial expires and reflect on the next Shopify invoice. During the trial, you can use Aftersell features without any charge. How do I change my pricing plan in Aftersell?

Current plan, in detail
Each feature on your plan has its own card under the Current plan section. Only features that are actually on your plan appear.- Post-purchase: shows your current monthly charge, your orders in the last 30 days, your current pricing tier, and how many more orders until you reach the next tier.
- Checkout: shows the flat $99 per month charge.

How is the billing period determined?
Each feature on your Aftersell plan bills once every 30 days, starting from the day the feature first became billable on your plan. The amount is calculated based on your order volume for the previous 30 days. For example, if your charge fires on April 1, the amount is calculated from your store’s order volume during the previous 30 days. Your next charge then fires 30 days later, on May 1. If you have both Post-purchase and Checkout enabled, each feature has its own 30-day cycle. They may bill on different days each month if you enabled them on different dates.Enterprise pricing
Aftersell offers enterprise pricing for larger stores with specific needs, such as multi-store account arrangements where a single billing setup spans more than one Shopify store. Enterprise pricing is generally not applicable to smaller and mid-size stores, which are well-served by the standard tiered pricing above. If you think enterprise pricing might be a fit for your account, reach out via in-app chat or email support@aftersell.com to discuss.Tips for managing billing

How is my Aftersell bill calculated?
How is my Aftersell bill calculated?
Aftersell calculates your monthly bill based on your store’s total order volume over the previous 30 days. This includes every order placed on your Shopify store, regardless of whether each order interacted with an Aftersell offer. The pricing model assumes that most of your orders can be served an Aftersell offer through one of several surfaces:
- Post-purchase funnels appear on orders that meet Shopify’s Post-purchase eligibility requirements.
- Thank you page upsells appear on the order confirmation page and can capture orders that did not qualify for the Post-purchase page.
- PDP upsells and other pre-purchase surfaces drive incremental conversion before the order is even placed.

How do I get a refund?
How do I get a refund?
To request a refund, contact the Aftersell support team via in-app chat or email support@aftersell.com. Include your store URL, the charge date and amount you are requesting a refund for, and a short explanation of why. What happens next depends on the status of the charge in Shopify’s billing system:
- Charge already paid. Refunds are processed via Shopify’s refund flow and post back to your original payment method.
- Charge sent to Shopify but not yet collected. A refund cannot be processed directly. You can either wait for Shopify to collect the charge and request the refund afterwards, or request an app credit equivalent to the amount.
- Charge not yet submitted. In some cases the Aftersell support team can stop the charge from being submitted, so it never appears on your Shopify bill.
How can I cancel my subscription?
How can I cancel my subscription?
You can cancel your subscription directly from the Aftersell app. Navigate to Settings → Billing, scroll to the bottom of the page, and click Uninstall. A modal will guide you through selecting a cancellation reason and confirming the uninstall. This cancels your subscription and removes the app from your store in one step. After uninstall, your settings and data are retained for up to 1 year. If you reinstall within that year, you can restore your configurations, widgets, and funnels. To avoid charges for the next billing cycle, uninstall at least one day before your next billing date. For the full cancellation walkthrough, see How do I cancel my Aftersell subscription.
Why was I billed after uninstalling?
Why was I billed after uninstalling?
Shopify collects app billing charges on the billing cycle for your Shopify subscription, not on the day the charge is submitted. So even though Aftersell may have submitted a charge before you uninstalled, Shopify will collect it on the next Shopify billing cycle. If you uninstalled but were still billed, this usually means the uninstall happened after the billing cycle had already processed. Any pending charges from previous billing periods still need to be resolved. To avoid this, uninstall at least one day before your next billing date.
