Peer benchmarks (PPU) compares your post-purchase performance against a peer group of similar stores, so a number like revenue per visit has something to be measured against. The widget appears in the Grow your store column on plans that include post-purchase upsells. If your plan does not include them, it is not shown.

Your peer group

The sub-heading tells you which stores you are being compared against and over what period:
  • Compared to stores that share your AOV · Last 30 days
  • Compared to stores that share your AOV and industry · Last 30 days — shown when Aftersell can also match you on industry
Matching on industry as well as average order value makes for a tighter comparison, so the second form is the more precise of the two.

Revenue per visit

The benchmark metric is Revenue per visit (RPV):
Revenue per visit (RPV) = total post-purchase revenue ÷ number of orders that reached the post-purchase page.
The widget shows your RPV alongside your peer group’s median, and where you fall in the group’s distribution.

Before you have data

New stores, and stores that have not yet earned through post-purchase offers, see an empty state:
Your benchmarks will appear here as your store starts earning with the app.
This is expected and needs no action. Your position is established over time as the app performs — a single day of data is not enough to place you against a peer group.
