What is Insights?

The Insights section in Aftersell gives you a customizable dashboard experience for exploring your store’s performance data. You can create multiple views, each containing insight cards that display the metrics most relevant to you. The left side of the Insights page shows a persistent Views sidebar listing all your saved views. The active view is highlighted so you always know where you are.
  • Switch views — click any view name in the sidebar to navigate to it.
  • Collapse or expand the sidebar — click the chevron icon in the sidebar header to toggle between the full-width and icon-only rail. Your preference is saved and persists across page reloads.
Note: You cannot switch views while you have unsaved edits open. Save or cancel your changes first.

Adding a view

Click the + button in the sidebar header to create a new view. A new view named Untitled view N is created immediately and opens in edit mode so you can start adding insight cards right away. No modal or extra steps are required.

Renaming a view

You can rename any view you created (template views cannot be renamed):
  1. Navigate to the view you want to rename — it must be the active view.
  2. Click the pencil icon that appears next to the view name in the sidebar.
  3. Type the new name in the text field that appears.
  4. Press Enter to save, or Escape to cancel without saving.
Clicking away from the field (blur) also saves the new name if it has changed.

Editing a view

To add, remove, or rearrange insight cards on a view:
  1. Open the view from the sidebar.
  2. Click Edit view in the header.
  3. Use Add insight to add new cards, or drag existing cards to reorder them.
  4. Click Save to apply your changes, or Cancel to discard them.

Template views

Template views are pre-built dashboards provided by Aftersell. They are available to all stores and cannot be renamed or edited. You can switch to a template view from the sidebar at any time.
