Overview

This setting controls whether Upcart uses the original product price or the compare-at price when displaying product savings. It only affects savings shown on individual line items, not the total savings above the checkout button.

Where to Find It

Go to:
Upcart > Editor > Settings > Cart settings, then expand Advanced Settings
Look for “Show discounts from base price instead of from compare at price.”

How It Works

Enabled (Box Checked)

When the line actually has a discount, savings are calculated from the original product price:
The strikethrough shown is the product’s original price rather than the compare-at price. When the line has no discount, the compare-at price is still used — so enabling this doesn’t remove compare-at strikethroughs from undiscounted products.

Disabled (Box Unchecked)

Savings are calculated using the compare-at price.
This may overstate the actual discount if the compare-at price is higher than the product’s original base price.
