What you see on the Analytics page

The Analytics page shows your data in this order, from top to bottom:

1. Revenue

A chart showing the total revenue generated by Upcart. Revenue comes from products your customers added through Upcart offers (upsells, add-ons, subscriptions). You can filter the chart by Add-ons, Upsells, or Subscriptions to see which types perform best.

2. Cart impressions

A card showing how many times customers viewed your cart. An impression is a unique time a customer has seen the cart - each visit counts once.

3. Checkouts completed

A card showing how many orders were completed after someone viewed the cart.

4. Conversion rate

A chart with two lines:
  • Checkout - What percentage of cart viewers went to the checkout page
  • Order - What percentage of cart viewers completed their purchase
If there’s a big gap between these two lines, customers are likely dropping off during checkout. A small gap means your checkout is working well.

5. Top performing products

A table of products that sold the most through Upcart offers. The columns are:
  • Product - The product that was added to the cart via an Upcart offer
  • Quantity sold - The total number of units sold for this product through Upcart offers
  • Revenue - The total revenue from sales of this product through Upcart offers
  • Module - The Upcart offer type that drove the sale (e.g. Add-ons, Upsells, Subscriptions)

Summary numbers

The big number at the top of each chart or card is a weighted average. Busier days count more toward your total, so you get a more accurate picture of your overall performance.

Turn on tracking to see your data

⚠️ Important: You need to enable “Track cart events” to see data in Analytics. How to turn it on:
  1. Go to Upcart > Cart Editor > Settings > Cart Settings
  2. Scroll to Advanced Settings
  3. Turn on the “Track cart events” toggle
Without this turned on, your analytics will be empty.

Using the dashboard

  • Date range - Use the date picker at the top to choose your time period
  • Compare periods - Use “Compare: Previous” to see how you’re doing vs. the previous period
  • Filter by module - Use the filter checkboxes on the Revenue chart to show or hide Add-ons, Upsells, or Subscriptions
💡 Tip: For useful insights, look at at least 7-14 days of data.

Troubleshooting

No data showing?

Make sure Track cart events is turned on (see above).

Numbers seem wrong?

Check that Track cart events is on, Upcart is active on your theme, and you’re looking at a date range with enough data (at least 24-48 hours).

Revenue doesn’t match Shopify?

Upcart only counts revenue from products added through Upcart offers. Orders from direct checkout links, draft orders, or POS won’t appear in Upcart analytics because the cart wasn’t part of that purchase.
