# Hide Properties Starting With Single Underscore "_"

> Control whether internal or app-generated product attributes are shown in the cart drawer.

# Overview

This setting hides any line item properties that begin with a single underscore (`_`). These are often added by third-party apps or custom scripts to store internal data, such as personalization info or product metadata.

This setting only affects visibility in the **Upcart cart drawer**. Your Shopify theme’s cart page may still display these properties.

## Where to Find It

Upcart > Editor > Settings > Advanced Settings\
Look for **“Hide properties starting with single underscore.”**

## How It Works

### **Enabled**

Any line item properties starting with `_` will be hidden from the cart drawer. This keeps the layout clean and avoids showing technical or irrelevant data to customers.

### **Disabled**

These properties will remain visible. This can be helpful if you want customers to review their personalization choices or see other custom product details.
