Which fulfillment location is used for an upsell?

Upsell items are fulfilled from the first location which has inventory available.

The inventory from higher priority locations will be used first. If a location does not have inventory available to fulfill the upsell, then the upsell will be fulfilled from the next location which does have inventory available.

Brick and mortar locations are not used.

Customizing inventory locations

In AfterSell, you can choose which inventory locations are used for 1-click upsells.

If you choose to exclude certain online locations from fulfilling 1-click upsells, the excluded locations must be at the bottom of your location priority list.

For example, based on the images above:

Allowed:
- Exclude Warehouse C ✅
- Exclude both Warehouses B and C ✅
Not allowed:
- Exclude only Warehouse B, while keeping Warehouse A and C ❌
- Exclude Warehouses A and B, while keeping Warehouse C ❌

Disclaimer: if the priority of locations is not correct, upsell items may accidentally be fulfilled from excluded locations.
