# Compare at Price Not Reflecting for Checkout Upsells ( Shopify Plus)

> This article outlines the troubleshooting steps to follow when compare-at prices are not displaying correctly for checkout upsells.

If product discounts aren’t appearing at checkout even though checkout upsells are published, this may be related to how **compare-at prices** display in Shopify for EEA (European Economic Area) stores.

## Why This Happens

Shopify automatically uses the **compare-at price** feature to meet the **European Price Indication Directive (PID)**. When enabled, Shopify shows the lowest price in the past 30 days instead of an active discount. You can read [Shopify's documentation](https://help.shopify.com/en/manual/compliance/legal/pricing-indication-directive) for more details.

## How to Fix

If your primary market is in the EEA:

1. Go to **Products** in your Shopify admin.
2. Open the product.
3. Under **Pricing**, set the **Compare-at price** to the lowest price in the last 30 days or more.
4. Set the **Price** to your new sale price.
5. Click **Save**.

**Note:** The **Compare-at price** must be higher than the **Price** to display a discount.

If your store’s primary market isn’t in the EEA:

1. Go to **Settings** > **Markets** in Shopify.
2. Click **Preferences**.
3. Deselect **Hide compare-at prices for EEA customers**.
4. Click **Save**.

If the issue continues after adjusting these settings, clear your browser cache and test again. If it persists, contact **Aftersell Support** for further assistance.
